Kannada actor Nikita Thukral faces ban after Darshan's wife's allegations : Introduction, Biography, Movies, Photos
The Darshan-Vijayalakshmi case took another curious turn, with the Kannada Film Producers' Association (KFPA) turning its ire on model-turned-actor Nikita Thukral, for allegedly “creating disharmony in Mr. Darshan's family.”
For this, she has been banned from acting in Kannada movies for three years, while Mr. Darshan, the perpetrator of the violence against his wife, appears to have been let off the hook by the producers' forum.
Nikita rightly feels victimised. She is in Mumbai currently and is hurt by the turn of events in Bangalore which she got to know through news channels. "The least they could have done was to inform me before they banned me. I really don't know how to react to this. This is ridiculous! I am appalled at the way they've made this decision against me," Nikita told.
Nikita Thukral was born in Mumbai on July 6, 1981.
Nikita was a popular model before she entered films.
She made her screen debut with Malayalam film 'Kaiyethum Doorath' (2002).
Her first Kannada film was 'Maharaja' (2005).
Some of her notable Sandalwood films include 'Vamshi', 'Nariya Seere Kadda', 'Prince' and 'Yodha'.
She became popular after her item number "Kodana Kodi" in Tamil film 'Saroja'.
Nikita has starred opposite Darshan in 'Yodha' and 'Prince'. Their next release is 'Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna'.
Her upcoming movies are 'Muran', 'Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna', 'Cottonpet' and 'Priyasakha'.
