Jaguar C-X75
780hp, 1,180lb ft of torque, a 560-mile range with 68 miles possible on battery power alone. Utterly jaw-dropping.
Lotus Esprit
The Esprit is equipped with a 5.0-litre forced-induction V8 meaning 620hp, 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds and 205mph flat out. Yowzer. Expect a production version around 2014, when it will be up against the likes of the Ferrari 458 and McLaren MP4-12C, both of which will be in mid-life by then.
Audi Quattro concept
This 'quattro concept' is the most aggressive thing to come out of Ingolstadt since the flame-spitting, rally dominating original. 408hp from a five-cylinder turbo, spectacular looks and all-wheel drive.
Lamborghini Sesto Elemento
The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento concept weighs just 999kg and is powered by a 570hp V10. Which means you'll almost certainly be needing the emergency services - not least to put out the scorched tarmac as it rockets from 0-62mph in just 2.5 seconds. This car is carbonfibre to the very max.
Ferrari 599 SA APERTA
Ferrari 599 SA APERTA. Except you can't, because all 80 examples of this 670hp roadster have already been sold - at 'more than' £350,000 a piece. 208mph top speed, 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds and sensational looks suggest it's worth every penny. Deliveries begin later in 2010.
Fisker Karma
The twin electric motors and 2.0-litre turbo petrol combine to deliver 663hp and a socking 960lb ft of torque. That's more muscle than a standard Bugatti Veyron. Since Fisker is claiming 100mpg and 85g/km CO2
Porsche Speedster
911 GTS - 408hp and absolute bargain from £76k. Comparatively speaking. On the other the 911 Speedster - 408hp and £144,000. Such is difference between a run-out special and a car that bears the weight of history.
Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale.
Maserati has taken the elegant slab of evil that is the GranTurismo, and attacked it with a highly functional aerodynamic bodykit and a whole truckload of racing parts. The resulting MC Stradale - that's Italian for 'Maserati Racing Road' - has 450hp, will top 186mph
Renault DeZir
Renault DeZir deserves a mention not for looking like a French Audi R8 with crazy doors, but because the designers say it's been influenced by the idea of an 'amorous encounter'. So, it's actually sex on wheels. Super-lightweight Kevlar construction and 150 electric hp means 0-62mph in 5.0 seconds.
Bugatti Veyron SuperSport
Bugatti Veyron isn't new. But the SuperSport version is the undisputed Fastest Car In The World, and this is the first real chance for us to see it. 1,200hp - count 'em - and an officially verified top speed of 268mph
Range Rover Evoque
Evoque is a stunning concept that's somehow made production reality. The only question is why did it take them so long? Deliveries start around summer 2011. A five-door version will be unveiled later in 2010
Renault Twizy
Renault Twizy concept. But it seems the joke is on us - this four-wheeled all-electric scooter with a roof is really going to be built! Surely some kind of mistake? Apparently not... We're still not sure if they're serious though.
Citroen DS4
C4 is dull and uninspiring, the DS4 is the next stage in Citroen's parallel range of premium cars. Usefully green, stylish and skilfully balancing a hint of SUV aggression with genuine practicality it's a bold spin on a familiar theme.
Lotus Elan
Elan for its 911-chasing performance, scalpel sharp lines and revival of one of Lotus's most iconic names.
Ford Focus
C-Max - based on the same platform - has whetted our appetites. And we're looking at the new Focus with renewed excitement.
